Julie started working in the mining industry in 1987 and has a broad range of geological experience including exploration, underground and open pit mining.  Julie also worked for three years at acQuire Technology Solutions where she assisted with the development of the acQuire data management software.  Julie has managed exploration and mine geological databases for a number of companies including WMC Resources, Robe River Mining Co, BHP Billiton, and Fortescue Metals Group before venturing out and starting rOREdata in June 2005.

Ian Cook
Principal Consultant/Team Manager

Ian started in the minerals industry in 1980. He has a broad range of experience in Exploration, Mining & Resource Development geology & data management. He has developed, led & participated in projects including geotechnical & environmental database development, spatial database implementation & delivery of training & knowledge capture. He has extensive experience in administering & using SQL & Oracle databases, programming & using geological modelling packages & drill hole applications such as acQuire. Ian joined rOREdata in June of 2009 as a Geoscientific Data Specialist & brings with him a demonstrable record of success & a strong commitment to delivering solutions to the minerals business. His primary focus is geoscientific & spatial data acquisition and management.

Katrina Garven
Principal Consultant/Team Manager

Katrina is a Geologist & Database Manager with over 12 years experience across a broad range of commodities and has worked for Sons of Gwalia, Homestake Lawlers & Equinox Resources.  Katrina’s aptitude for Geological data management led her to join acQuire Technology Solutions as a Principal Geological Data Analyst.  Katrina is a fully certified acQuire Database implementer, Microsoft Certified Professional & Prince Project manager.  Katrina’s geological experience & passion for database management gives her exceptional knowledge of the requirements to manage complex geological datasets to the highest standard.

Steve Bastick
Principal Consultant/Team Manager

Steve has a Bachelor of Science, postgraduate certificate in Information Technology and is a Microsoft Certified Professional. He has over 13 years experience working in IT and has spent the last 6 years working in the resource sector. Most recently, he spent 3 years with Micromine where he was Manager of their Geological Data Management Services Group. Steve has primarily specialised in the implementation and management of information management systems, has extensive SQL database skills, and has a genuine passion for implementing quality solutions that meet and exceed client requirements. Steve is available to assist clients with their data management requirements including product selection, database implementation/enhancement, database management, systems reviews, training and support.

Vanja Urosevic-Halilovic
Principal Consultant

Vanja started as a Computer Geologist with Sons of Gwalia in 1992. Her duties included the maintenance of Oracle Database, IT support, data processing, training & assistance to staff within the Exploration team. Vanja was then involved in the Exploration Information Systems Review, acQuire implementation, system development & maintenance. In 2005 Vanja joined LionOre with her main role of administration of acQuire database system (exploration & operations). In May 2007, Vanja joined rOREdata  as a Senior Data Administrator & has worked with Boddington Gold Mine & Breakaway Resources.
